Today at the Smash Bros. DOJO!! a big announcement went up. The WiFi mode is officially announced and screenshots are out.

You can play with just your friends where you can send any of four preloaded textual taunts through the four directions on the D-pad, or you can play with any random people from around the world. To protect the little kids they did have to sacrifice a bit of opportunity for a strong Smash Bros based gaming community by blocking any form of communication between random opponents, including names. Then again, after seeing WiFi play for the DS, you can’t expect much more than undiluted gameplay from Nintendo’s online modes.
Everybody knows it’s going to be a great game and this is just one more reason to make me look forward to Dec. 3rd.
I found this awesome site with that posts random hacks: Tutorial Ninjas, and as I was reading through the various posts I came across their explanation of why PS3s are worthy of more credit than they are given. You know I’ve never put much faith in the PS3’s value, but after reading this post I just about had to change my mind. It doesn’t make me want to run out and get one now, but at least I can admit, yeah, maybe I will get one someday, once I have a TV screen to make a PS3 proud.
We’ve all been wondering, how in the world is Smash Brothers Brawl not going to suck if you have to use the Wiimote and Nunchuk to play? The waiting is over today! On the Smash Bros. DOJO!! site, it was announced today that there will be four available control schemes, Wiimote + Nunchuk, Gamecube Controller, Retro Controller, or Wiimote on its side. No details yet on how game play will work with combinations of the Wiimote, but I’m sure they will be forthcoming.
