I&#039;m not sure how I feel about the X-UA-Compatible thing... why is the &quot;edge&quot; value discouraged? If a site follows its DOCTYPE, it should be totally forward-compatible. Also, is X-UA-Compatible going to be incorporated into W3C standards, or is it going to be a proprietary IE thing? Not that it will make much of a difference in how the page displays in other browsers, I suppose.

And, completely random, but does IE8 still do that annoying thing where it opens sites directed to open in &quot;new windows&quot; in &lt;i&gt;actual new windows&lt;/i&gt; instead of just making a new tab? Because IE7 is kind of ridiculous that way. (I could probably correct it somewhere in the preferences, or do some special magic kind of click... or I could just use Firefox.)</description>
