Darn you, Elmer

During the frustration of yesterday’s Java problems I managed to pry the plastic housing off of my thumb drive. Naturally I assume I can just glue the plastic back around it. All I had was Elmer’s so naturally: “Elmer’s couldn’t be conductive, could it?” Well, yeah, maybe it is after all. And in completely unrelated matters, my thumb drive randomly doesn’t work any more. See pictures.

EDIT: It started working again after I rinsed off all the excess glue and let it dry off, but sans case, I’m not nearly as trusting to just toss it in my pocket with my keys and such, so I’ve already ordered a new one on newegg.

Anti-Social Doesn’t Even Begin to Cover It…

So I’ve spent almost 100% of my free time over the past 48 hours working on a Java program and I’ve been ‘almost done’ for the past 12 hours of that. Even on Sunday night I was ready to do anything in the world besides write Java, but no, it is the problem that consumes all. Imagine: a highly efficient way to search through a list for an item, and we are forced to adopt this method to within the restraints of the very method it was invented to replace. It’s tyranny I tell you.

First Grades

Thursday I gave my first speech (FDR to congress Dec 8 1941 on Pearl Harbor). I did ok for only having started memorizing it the morning of. I’ll get my grade back on Tuesday. I got a 67 on the first test in Java, which was mostly a stupid error that cost me over 20 points on the first page. I did get a perfect score on the first quiz in Physics, representing the second time I’ve been to that class.
In other news, Heroes is on tonight. Watch it. (EDIT: I did; was awesome.)
