Somehow I had thought that I had seen episode 13, but I’m glad that I waited. Viz needs to get on the ball in releasing these online because it’s only getting better with every episode. If you gave it up when it disappeared from AnimeSuki you really ought to do a search on mininova and get the last few episodes. We may soon find the answers to important questions like, how many episodes does L really have left to live, is Light really completely emotionless, and why are these new fansub groups struggling with the English language so much? All that and more coming up in this week’s episode. Don’t miss it.

Last episode we were briefly introduced to Ishida Uryuu’s father, but that doesn’t even begin to compare to the next father we are introduced to. A captain level shinigami who’s been with us since episode 1. And needless to say he makes quite an entrance. If you ever had doubts that Bleach would be able to return to the awesomeness that it had achieved before fillers last year, this should be the one to change your mind. There’s a lot in store for us in these next few months.

I got to play racquetball for the first time this semester last night. Playing with the midget racket wasn’t easy, but I started to get used to it and it will definitely make me a better player.
In other developments, there is the strong possibility that I will change rooms. My roommate has a long-time friend that wants to move in with him and I am likely to move to one of the larger three man-sized rooms with a friend of mine from last semester (the one with a Wii and a decent sized TV).
In other notes, the subbed Bleach 111 is out. I’ll have it in a few minutes here and you will have my opinion shortly.
Classes this semester aren’t going to be easy. Most of them, at least. Physics seems to be of the easiest, since the grading scale is a 20 pt. instead of the typical 10 pt. 100-90 = A, etc. I can barely understand my foreign Linear Algebra professor and I can barely understand our text book. If that wasn’t bad enough the material combined with the two previous conditions makes it one of the most sleep inducing environments I’ve ever been in. Luckily I have a reliable friend in there to sleep with me. My history teacher knows what he’s talking about alright, but it’s a large class and there really isn’t a good way to really teach material well to that many people at once, so it’s fairly boring after the first day. It will probably be pretty easy if I can keep awake through the lectures. Speech will be a really good class. I know quite a few people in it and our teacher (whom my roommate had last semester) Dr. Ding is some awesome British Filipino with the strangest accent you’ve ever heard. He’s really passionate about the subject so it’s not hard to understand him. Java Data Structures will work out ok in the end, but most of my high school java was over the topics I’m learning now and he assumes we know the stuff that Ms. Howe decided was unimportant enough to skip since it wasn’t on the AP exam. Basically its a game of catch-up.
Speaking of games, I just joined the ranks of the honors students’ Zombies vs. Humans game. I didn’t have a clue until it was explained to me, I went to Wal-Mart and got myself a $8 nerf gun and now I’m zombie bait. If you don’t have any more idea than I did, read the official rules here.
I got back to Tech Sunday evening and got checked in easily. Most of the gang was already back, but by now they all are. One of them has returned with a Wii, another brought his gamecube, upgrading from the 64 he had in his room last semester. My roommate has decided to give up WoW to some degree. I don’t know how final the decision is, but he’s decided to try to find other ways to kill free time. I still need to go to Wal-Mart for food supplies and other necessaries. I bought most of my books yesterday at the almost-on-campus nearby bookstore. They have a lot more used books than the campus bookstore does and comparable prices.
The day before I left I had a few friends from work come over and play a couple of German board games that my manager is particularly enthused about. (Photos)
Classes start early tomorrow morning at 9 am with a Java lab. I definitely don’t remember enough from my Java two years ago to be able to jump right in easily.
I know you all know I want a Wii of my own, but this woman really wanted one. It’s quite a sad story at that.
